Rebates and Tax Credits
Regardless of how you choose to finance your home solar system, Sungevity will handle all the paperwork to ensure that you can take full advantage all of the rebates and tax credits available to you. You’ll get all the savings with none of the hassle!
Federal Incentives
The Investment Tax Credit (ITC) reduces the cost of your system by 30%! As part of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009, this tax credit was extended through 2016. If you purchase a system, we'll make sure you have the necessary documentation to claim this credit come tax time. If you lease the system, we'll figure the tax credit into your monthly lease payments.
California Incentives
The California state government offers significant cash rebates at the time of installation. This can reduce the cost of your system by 10 to 15%.
Many cities and utilities in California offer additional or alternative incentives, including LADWP, Anaheim Public Utilities, San Francisco, SMUD, Silicon Valley Power, Ukiah, and Alameda Municipal Power. Some of these rebates can knock thousands of dollars off the cost of your system. The list is rapidly growing, but rest assured that if your utility or city offers an incentive, we’ll make sure you get it.
Arizona Incentives
Arizona’s three largest utilities offer some of the most generous rebates in the world. The Salt River Project will pay for up to $10,750 of the cost of your sytem. Tuscon Electric Power’s rebate is even more generous, covering up to 60% of the cost. Arizona Public Servcies customers can get rebates that cover up to 50% of the cost of the system. Arizonans can also get up to a $1000 state tax credit when you lease or buy a system. Just imagine knocking $1000 off your state tax bill next April!
Colorado Incentives
Black Hills Energy and Xcel Energy offer a $2 per watt rebate which can knock about a third off the price of your system. Combined with the federal tax credit, Coloradans can buy a home solar system at less than half of the actual cost.
